We thought we should tell you a bit about the people behind the computer screen - Hugh and Hamish, the developers of Stay In NZ Ltd.
A mad keen Rugby follower, Hamish’s rugby playing career peaked in 1997 when he played in the champion East Coast Bays JB4 team. Having reached the dizzy heights of winning a North Harbour a championship aged 11 he has struggled since for form (it did help that his mum was team manager). Tragedy struck in 2000 when a shoulder injury forced Hamish from playing to refereeing. Three years later Hamish reached the pinnacle of the JB4 championship final as referee. Realising this was probably as good as it was gunna get, he moved into the role of “Absent Technical Director” (watches the rugby, while telling everyone he knows the rules better than the referee). Hamish lives in North Harbour with his beautiful wife Jessie, and cat Stella (yes named after the beer). Most weekends he can be found watching his older brother play for East Coast Bays seniors, or watching rugby at the pub with his mates. Hamish works for a large NZ Media Company in a Marketing/Sales Position.
Hugh’s Rugby career finished at the age of 13 when a man mountain of a classmate, known as ‘Big Red’, picked him up, with the ball, and dived in for a try. The ball was ok but Hugh’s right arm still gives him a bit of trouble during the winter. Hugh lives right across from Eden Park and his biggest dilemma is whether to rent out his house and watch the games from the Tropics, or stay and enjoy the atmosphere. Hugh works for a large NZ Broadcaster in a Management/Technical position.
